Sea Love Gallery

Island life, sea glass searching, jewelry making & all things adventurous!

Another trip to our beloved Hornby Island! We love it here. We stay at the Kema Cabin, about a mile up from the ferry. The beach across from the cabin is full of sea glass, sea pottery & beautiful shells. If you go, be sure to hike around Helliwell Park and spend a day at Tribune Bay or Whaling Station Bay. Also go to Grassy Point for the most amazing sunsets. <3

2 of my favourite sea glass colours to find. Lavender/Purple is sometimes "sun" purple, in the old days manganese was added to glass as a clarifying agent, and manganese turns purple when exposed to UV rays. Purple sea glass is rare and lovely.

These are a few of my favourites! I love finding patterned sea pottery, bonfire sea glass, sea beads & rare coloured sea glass.

Little getaways feed my soul (and they ALWAYS include beachcombing)! We found this adorable cottage about 2 minutes away from Crescent Beach in Surrey. Tons of sea glass & cool rocks on this beach. Arrowheads & Jade have been found here over the years. The waterfront homes along the walkway are stunning!

These are the cutest cottages in Ucluelet! We did some sea glass searching at a beach nearby. If you are looking for an affordable place to stay check out Reef Point Cottages. We booked the "Love Shack" through VRBO, super comfy queen bed with a pull-out couch, full kitchen, full bath. Perfect for couples. Link here: https://www.vrbo.com/1616021?noDates=true

Fall/Winter 2019/2020. From Hornby, to Port Renfrew, White Rock to Ucluelet. My love for beachcombing is that much better with my favourite person.

Happy Black Friday Sale!!! 25% off all products right through until Cyber Monday at midnight. Happy Thanksgiving Weekend to my American followers!

Excited to explore the beaches in Port Renfrew this weekend! I have heard that Botanical Beach is a great spot for Sea Glass searching and Beachcombing. There have been 137 major shipwrecks in the immediate vicinity of the entrance to the Straits of Juan de Fuca. It is known as The Graveyard of The Pacific. I am hoping the waves toss up some cool pieces..who knows...maybe something from a ship!

The best beaches to find sea glass on are the ones with smaller smooth rocks, look for shells mixed into the rocks. Once you start spotting the glass, your eyes will become trained on what to look for!

Stacked sea glass! These are very popular. Email me for your own custom design.

So very true. Lessons from the sea.
